London, 10 July 2009…

Turkish tourism information and city life website Istanbul.com and Expedia Affiliate Network have today announced a partnership that will see Expedia’s flight, hotel, car hire and in destination activities product offering available for booking through a white label portal at www.istanbul.com

The white label site will be available in both Turkish and English and will enable visitors to the site to book flights, hotel accommodation, car hire and destination activities within Istanbul, as well as other Turkish and global destinations. Expedia’s global hotel product currently exceeds 100,000 and its destination activities encompass everything from theme park entry, show tickets, tours and excursions. In Turkey, in particular, customers will be able to book excursions such as a photography tour of Istanbul, an Ottoman relics tour and a day trip to Bursa, the birthplace of modern Turkish culture.

Koksal Abdurrahmanoglu, founder of Istanbul.com, comments “Istanbul.com is a content rich interactive site that serves visitors to the city and wider Turkish destinations with in-depth information about where to go, what to do and see. It was a natural progression for our business to develop a white label partnership with a travel provider. The breadth of the Expedia offering both within Turkey and the wider global market was key in securing the partnership. With Expedia, we will be offering exceptional travel options to our visitors and increase the destination value and tourism income of Istanbul.”

Cameron Jones, Director Business Development EMEA, EAN, comments, “We are seeing the popularity of holidays to Turkey growing as travellers search for destinations where their money goes further and so we are pleased to have developed this partnership with Istanbul.com. The audience of the site has expressed an interest in travelling just by visiting the site, so by integrating the booking function into the home page it makes it quick and easy for them to book their travel needs through the fast and flexible Expedia booking engine.”

Currently EAN works with more than 10,000 private label partners across the globe. In EMEA these include Greenbee, Avis, Tiscali, Eurostar, Lonely Planet, Moto GP, Sky, Ab-in-den-Urlaub.de, Travelpartner.se, Holland.com, Weg.de, eDreams and 20 airline partners including Alitalia, Pegasus and SAS airlines.
